Kickstands-Most new bikes don't come with a kickstand. Many racer types and dirt pounders don't want one because of the extra weight, but most of us need a way to park our bike besides throwing it on the ground or propping it up against a wall. Other than physical abuse, a bike's worst enemy is dirt, crud and rust. Laying a bike on the ground is not only an open invitation for all three, but also presents an easy target for a distracted driver.
